Our Wonderful Weekend at the River

I just returned from our weekend place, which we call "The Boat House". Mike, Dawn, and Blaine had a fantastic time as the weather was warm, dry, and the skies were blue. Last night we had a campfire, with roasted marshmallows, and fun stories. The stars were sparkling, skies were clear, and we stayed up late having "precious together time".
We love to tell Blaine all the old stories from our childhood... whether they be just stories, or actual events. We try to always have a purpose, a profound moral to our stories. Sometimes, it involves the history of our family, other times, it's just a silly story. Later it was time for tuck-ins, kisses, and bedtime prayers. Blaine always reminds us if we forget!
This morning, Blaine & I (Dawn) awoke to the scrumptuous aroma of bacon, eggs, and pancakes. Mike always cooks breakfast on the weekends... something to look forward to. We usually eat leisurely and discuss our plans for the week... what we will do for the rest of the day, and if we have special plans for next weekend.
Today was unusual, as I (Dawn) had a meeting at the hospital, so I packed up and left around 12:30 pm, kissing my "boys" goodbye as they departed for a frog hunting adventure.
