Day 23: Sarah's Update: A Heart of Wisdom

Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

(Psalm 90:12 )

My Brother, Curtis

I spoke to Sarah again on the telephone tonight.  The conversation was longer and more specific this time.  Sarah's voice is still very raspy and different.  She has been told about her losses of fingers, and about her future recovery-plan.  I suspect she is overwhelmed by the length of the plan.  She will need to use a wheel-chair and have no weight bearing on her legs for possibly 30 more days.  She will need to have multiple skin grafts of her right arm and hand for them to heal properly and be functional.  Her pelvis, neck, left arm, and back need to heal (broken bones).  She will undoubtedly have pain for a long time.  She needs to wear a neck brace for up to 3 months.

All of this makes me feel terribly numb, I can't imagine what it might do to a 20 year old young lady.  Not to mention her parents and sisters!

**Please pray for Sarah, that she will be able to overcome the huge mountain of struggle that she may see in front of her... and take things one day at a time.
**Please also keep Debbie and Curtis, Jess and Barbara before the LORD's Throne daily, that HE may intervene and help them make wise and right decisions for Sarah and the family.

And thank you so much for prayers.
