Day 10: The LIGHT that Never Fails

"But the LORD stood with me and Strengthened me..."
(II Tim. 1:6)

Good news from Charlotte!  The Church of Christ in Charlotte is visiting Sarah and Curtis daily.  Their minister, Russ McCullough, is a big encouragement to my brother.  (Thanks, Mr. Hamilton for making this happen).  The Church family at Camp Hill has also been incredibly faithful and uplifting (not to mention courageous).  Please keep praying and reaching out.  "The secret of the servant's life is that he stays in tune with GOD all the time" (Oswald Chambers - my favorite Christian author presently).  Thank you to those servant's hands reaching out and those servant's ears listening-- you are the Body of CHRIST.  And you bring Glory to our LORD and Savior.

Pray that Sarah's pulmonary system (lungs) will be strengthened enough that she will be able to be weaned off the ventilator.  She had damage to both lungs, but one of them was completely collapsed and is very weak.  The other one (sorry, I don't know which is right or left) is still struggling and not up to snuff, either.  If the Nurses are unable to slowly take her off the vent, she will need to have a tracheotomy and a tube inserted into her neck (temporarily).  I am so grateful to all who are faithfully praying.  Please continue.  We feel most blessed.

Sarah loves St. Patrick's Day (Day 6)

The Candle I lit for Sarah this morning was GREEN. My prayers continue for complete healing and recovery for Sarah, and for a renewed commitment to Christ and HIS Way. Blaine & I dressed up as Leprechauns and delivered green cupcakes and minty green fudge to our friends and some favorite tutors and grown-ups today. We had a bunch of laughs, and got to pinch a few ungreen-clothed people (not too hard).

Not much news from Charlotte, NC. Plans are being made for Debbie & Dad to return to PA, and for MOM to fly down on Saturday to be there with Sarah and Curtis. The Church of Christ in Camp Hill has demonstrated true love by being the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus. Thank you, my brothers and sisters at Camp Hill for the generous gifts of food, and the airline tickets you arranged. My cup overflows with love and gratitude towards you all.

"We are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and obtain life." --Hebrews 10:39

Please pray specifically for the LORD to provide wisdom to the confused in this situation, strength for the weak, healing for the hurting hearts, a safe journey for those traveling, and salvation for those who need the LORD. Thank you.
