Day 14: Answered Prayers for Sarah, and more

"Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be terrified;
do not be discouraged,
for the Lord your God will be with you
wherever you go."
(Joshua 1:9)

The Lord has once again answered our prayers with a "Yes."  I talked to Curtis and Debbie yesterday (per telephone), and Sarah's physician removed the Ventilator Tube successfully...  she is breathing on her own without difficulty.  It was mentioned that Sarah's first words were, "I have got to get back to Camp Hill..."

Glory to GOD.  I want to praise HIM all day long!!  Sarah's temperature and elevated WBC's are also more normal.  Our family is so thankful.  Curtis said that the new challenge is keeping Sarah in the Bed.  She keeps trying to get up, which could injure her due to her fracture pelvis (it needs time to fuse the shattered bone to the plate they placed in there earlier).  Remember, she has a left fractured arm, a right excoriated arm & hand, fractures of the vertebrae, and a healing pelvis, so she is not ready to catch a ride to PA just yet!  The nurse said she will sit up in a chair tomorrow.

I can only imagine that moving around will be quite painful for Sarah.  But she is a very strong young lady.  Emotional pain is also being experienced at this time... Debbie said Sarah cried most of the day yesterday, which is understandable.  I do not know how much she has been told about her injuries.  She does not have her phone (it was obliterated in the accident), or access to the Internet at this time, but will soon have access.  Some of my posts will be removed at that time, since I don't want Sarah to be learning about critical information on the internet unless she has support there.

To our Prayer Warriors:  Thank You!  Please continue to pray for our family.  Hearts are being examined, and the Lord's Spirit is building and renewing Faith even as I write.  I ask for Special Prayers for Barbara for Courage, Strength, and an Open Heart to the LORD.  Please reach out to her in LOVE if you are able.  There is much heartache and sorrow in her.   And repentance, I believe.  I beg for the LORD's help in this, and for the help of any believer to pray and reach out in kindness. Thank you.

With  Hope in Christ alone-- "Aunt Dawnie"
